Kovaydin.NET was founded 20 years ago as an online community to bring the Finnish hardcore techno scene together. Since then, its activities have expanded to organizing events and releasing free (CC) Finnish hardcore, with a focus gradually shifting towards promoting more underground core music and culture in Finland, as well as making the Finnish underground core scene known internationally. We are now celebrating Kovaydin’s 20th anniversary in Tampere with a two-day fest, featuring both old and new artists and DJs, not forgetting our international friends! For years, we’ve been pondering what would happen if we tried a speedcore party experience similar to those, for example, in Berlin, here in Finland. So, let’s do it now! The starting tempo for the night is 300 bpm and the only limit is infinity! During the evening, artists and DJs will present different schools of speedcore from Western Europe to the Far East. Expect so many kickdrums that participants may experience distortions in the fabric of time and find themselves in a new normal.

[KOVAWEB20] VA – Kovaydin.NET 20v – 20 Years of Suomicore etsii biisejä!

Kovaydin.NET täyttää ensi vuonna pyöreitä ja sen kunniaksi olisi perinteisesti tarkoitus koota juhlakokoelma katsauksena tämän hetken kovimpaan underground hardcoreen ja breakcoreen Suomesta.

”Underground core” on toki laaja ja monitulkintainen käsite. Enemmän ja vähemmän vakiintuneita alagenrejä on lukuisia (industrial hardcore, doomcore, crossbreed, speedcore, digital hardcore, flashcore, shamancore, acidcore.. you name it!), mutta aina on plussaa jos teos on omaperäinen ja tekijänsä kuuloinen! Haluamme myös kannustaa tekijöitä omien samplejen ja sävelmien luomiseen, vaikka ”lainatutkin” ovat kohtuudella ok. Jos lafkatoimintamme on uutta, suosittelemme tutustumaan vanhempiin kokoelmiin, joista saa hieman käsitystä siitä millaista haetaan:

• Kokoelma julkaistaan ilmaiseksi Creative Commons -lisenssillä. Bandcamp sivuillamme julkaisu on myös ilmainen kolehti ominaisuudella.

• Olisi toivottavaa että biisiä ei julkaistaisi muualla, tai jos biisi julkaistaan myöhemmin esimerkiksi osana artistin EP:tä tai albumia, olisi biisin ensiesitys tällä kokoelmalla.

• On kuitenkin ok että biisi on kuultavissa esim. Soundcloudissa, kunhan se ei ole etukäteen ladattavissa.

• Deadline biisien lähettämiselle on 15.12.

Turku’s ground will be rumbling in May, when UG klubi will be taken over by multiple chefs, offering really spicy portions of hardcore music in the form of Corepata!
(UPDATE: 07.05.:) The originally planned gig by DJIPE (NL) has unfortunately been cancelled! Instead, the main dish will be served by Skitzaph0nic (PRSPCT, Fractal, Splatterkore Reck-ords) from the UK and the KOVAYDIN.NET three-person reserve, namely Shatterling, Talman & Teknojta, as well as Turku Gabber Corps and cuntykuma, will be serving starters and dessert.
So welcome on a taste trip to the world’s most distorted and rattling sounds through gabber, breakcore, hardtechno, crossbreed & industrial towards speedcore! This is a rare treat on the coast, so you shouldn’t miss out on this!
